Privacy

This site is a static mirror of a podcast. It has no ads, no comments, no forms, and no sign-ups. Here is everything it does with visitor data.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics 4 counts visits and shows which episodes people read and how they found the site. Advertising features, ad storage, and Google signals are switched off for everyone, so nothing here is used to target ads. Visitors in the European Union, the EEA, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland get no analytics cookies; Google receives only cookieless pings from them. The same goes for anyone whose browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track. Everyone else may get Google's first-party _ga cookies, which hold a random identifier so a returning listener is counted once. The script waits until you scroll, tap, or type, or four seconds after the page loads. Block it however you like, including with Google's opt-out add-on, and the site works the same. Google's policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.

Audio and Transcripts

The players stream each episode from the podcast's host, Spotify for Creators, only when you press play, so Spotify's servers see that request under Spotify's privacy policy. Transcripts and cover art are copies kept on this site.

Your Device

The dark mode button saves your choice in your browser under tcas-theme. It never leaves your device.

Hosting

GitHub Pages serves the site and may log visitors' IP addresses for security under GitHub's privacy statement. The domain's DNS is at Cloudflare, which does not sit between you and the pages.

Amazon Links

Some links to books and gear carry Chris's Amazon Associates tag, which Amazon uses to credit purchases. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
